'Captain America: Civil War' Will Begin Filming in Two Weeks
As moviegoers prepare themselves for the second Avengers movie, which hits cinemas on the 1st May, Marvel's third Captain America will be just about a month into production.
That's right, Captain America: Civil War is pretty much ready to get in front of the cameras with the main casting locked in, a script ready to shoot, and casting notices for extras going out in the Atlanta area, with a shooting date of the 1st April pinned down. Although it's worth noting, principle photography may begin earlier.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, also known as The Russo Brothers — will return to helm this third movie. Chris Evans returns as the titular character, alongside Daniel Bruhl playing Baron Zemo, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.
Below is the synopsis that went out with casting notices:
Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.
Captain America: Civil War also stars Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner. It is scheduled for a 6th May 2016 release.
