Chiwetel Ejiofor in Talks with Marvel Over Possible Role in Doctor Strange
The Hollywood Reporter broke news that 12 Years a Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor is currently holding talks with Marvel regarding a role in their upcoming movie, Doctor Strange.
So far, it hasn't been disclosed exactly what role Ejiofor is talking to Marvel about, with some outlets suggesting it to be villainous one. Some insiders have refuted this claim stating Ejiofor is simply hearing Marvel out with no specific role in mind. It wouldn't be a surprise if were a villainous role. Ejiofor is no stranger to these sort of casting calls. He was in pole position to land the Bond villain for the upcoming Spectre, before talks broke down and they went for Christoph Waltz instead.
Doctor Strange is scheduled to land in theatres on the 4th November 2016. Jon Spaihts has wrote the script that follows the story of neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Scott Derickson will direct, and Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) plays the titular role of the Sorcerer Supreme.
