Chris Pratt Addresses 'Indiana Jones' and 'Ghostbusters' Rumours

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong It's been a whirlwind year for Chris Pratt. He lead last years stand-out blockbuster movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, and is ready to add another success to his already growing reputation as a leading man in the upcoming, Jurassic World.

As things go in Tinsel Town, when you're a hot commodity it's likely you'll be attached to any big project — and Pratt is experiencing just that. He's been linked with Indiana Jones and the rebooted Ghostbusters franchises, but how seriously linked has he been?

indiana jones

Pratt has gone on record in the press as saying "no one's called me" regarding his attachment to Indy. The actor recently spoke with GQ Magazine where he once again rebutted his involvement with the potential fifth movie. However, he does acknowledge that he did hear something. According to Pratt, someone high up at Disney did mention to him a while back that they were picking up the rights to Indiana Jones, to which Pratt commented that his action-adventure card was fairly full. Later on, Pratt says Steven Spielberg, who produced Jurassic World, didn’t offer any insight into the matter either: “I just didn’t bring it up and he didn’t bring it up, so I don’t know.”

ghostbusters

As for Ghostbusters, this is a new movie Pratt has been closed associated with. After the announcement that Paul Feige will write and direct a female driven Ghostbusters movie that'll be followed by a male lead Ghostbusters movie produced and starring Channing Tatum — it began circulating that Pratt was also set to star. But the actor claims there’s no truth to that whatsoever: "No one has ever even spoken to me about that. Never. I’ve even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that’s complete bullshit."

In conclusion, Indiana Jones 5 is still taking baby steps, so any kind of casting would be very premature. Ghostbusters on the other hand is further along the road, but Pratt’s involvement doesn't seem to have any real substance to it. Remember, this guy has a jammed packed schedule with his five movie deal with Marvel only one movie down.
