Disney Anounce 'Frozen 2'
Disney have officially announced they are to produce a sequel to the incredibly popular Frozen. They announced this during their annual shareholders meeting on Thursday in San Francisco.
The first film’s directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are developing the project with producer Peter Del Vecho for Walt Disney Animation Studios, which took home the Oscar for animated feature for the film. A release date or production schedule has yet to be released.
This news of a sequel is hardly a surprise considering the phenomenon the movie became, taking $1.3billion at the box office, and becoming a merchandise juggernaut, too.
Although news of a sequel was kept quiet, Disney have continued to build on the animations popularity and will release the short film Frozen Fever before all showings of Disney's live-action remake, Cinderella , which is released this weekend.
