Documentary 'I Am Ali' examines the personal audio recordings of the legendary boxer

As well as these recordings, Lewins uses interviews and testimonials from his inner circle of family and friends to tell the legendary boxer’s life story. It’s intimate and heart-warming but lacks the knock-out punch that could make this documentary a stand-out performer. It misses a fresh approach in regards to narrative that heightens the shortage of unknown tales featured in this movie. There has been a legion of movies made about Ali over the years, leaving little to nothing unearthed about the man. Unfortunately, I Am Ali fails to deliver something worth clamouring for.
