'Fifty Shades of Grey' Stars Want Pay Rises for Upcoming Sequels
With sequels officially now in the works, the stars of Fifty Shades of Grey want a bigger slice of the pie after its huge success.
Fifty Shades of Grey has made a lot of money, currently standing at $528 million worldwide. The Hollywood Reporter is stating that stars Jamie Dornanand and Dakota Johnson want in on some of that money, and who can blame them. They’re reportedly negotiating seven-figure raises for the sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, after making just $250,000 plus bonuses for the first film.
Both are already signed up to star in the next two movies, and Universal will likely want to keep them happy, so it's expected they may get their wishes and receive them hefty pay rises. The second Fifty Shades movie is expected to begin filming in early 2016, with a release expected in 2017.
