First 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer to debut in select theatres over Thanksgiving
It has been announced that the first official teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens will debut in select theatres across the United States over the Thanksgiving holidays.
Originally it was thought that the trailer would be attached to the new Hobbit movie but that was soon rejected as being false. Then it was suggested a trailer would air during one of the three NFL thanksgiving games but it was soon announced Jurassic World would debut its first full-length trailer during the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers match on Thursday.
So where did that leave Star Wars?
Well, it has been confirmed that a selection of Regal, AMC and Cinemark cinemas across the United States will play the trailer before all showings of every movie between the 28th-30th November. So in theory, the suggestion that a Star Wars trailer would be released over Thanksgiving did have some truth behind it. Director J.J. Abrams confirmed the trailer release saying it will be an 88-second teaser. If you aren’t near any of the 30 theatres exclusively playing the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer starting Friday 28th November 28, don’t worth. It has been announced that iTunes will show the teaser trailer for Star Wars, too. When? We don't know, a time for the release of the trailer has yet to be confirmed.
