Harvey Weinstein Says 'The Hateful Eight' is "Quintessential Quentin"
During a Q&A session at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, the Weinstein Company head, Harvey Weinstein, gave some insight into Quentin Tarantino's latest movie, The Hateful Eight.
Harvey Weinstein has seen roughly 40 minutes of Tarantino's upcoming Western, and he told an jammed packed audience that the film is "quintessential Quentin."
Weinstein began a nearly hour-long conversation on Saturday by raving that what he's seen of the film. Weinstein said, "It's special and fun and sharp and new and edgy and good, really good."
The Weinstein Compnay boss, whose company is distributing the film, said Tarantino is "making no compromises" on his 70 mm film, wanting to use real snow instead of snowblowers. This was a problem as there wasn't much in way of snow when they were shooting in Telluride late last year.
The Weinstein Company released a teaser trailer for The Hateful Eight on Thursday, which can be seen below.
The Hateful Eight is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and stars Channing Tatum, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern and Jannifer Jason Leigh. It is scheduled for a November 13th 2015 release.
