Hot Docs Announce 2016 Line-Up, Includes Buzz Titles 'Tickled,' 'Operation Avalanche'
The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival announced its full film lineup for its upcoming 23rd edition, including such buzz titles as 'Tickled,' 'Operation Avalanche,' 'Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru' and many more.
Hot Docs director of programming Shane Smith said, "With films from a Festival-high of 51 countries, this year’s Hot Docs truly does span the globe, bringing Toronto audiences the best in documentaries from at home and abroad. With the expansion of our adventurous new program DocX into its own venue, an enhanced focus on short docs and the inclusion of long-form documentary work, Hot Docs continues to recognise and support masterful documentary storytelling in all of its forms. We can’t wait to share this year’s outspoken and outstanding program with Toronto audiences."
The festival had already announced a strong line-up that featured documentaries that had garnered acclaim from the festival circuit to date, including 'Sonita,' 'Trapped,' 'De Palma' and 'Gleason.'
