Jennifer Lawrence Says 'X-Men: Apocalypse' May Be Her Last X-Men Movie
It's been whispered that this upcoming X-Men movie could well be the last for stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult, and now it looks as though one of them has given a big hint that X-Men: Apocalyse will indeed be their last.
Lawrence was asked about whether she'll go on beyond her current contract with X-Men — which ends after Apocalypse — on the red carpet by MTV with Lawrence putting the rumours to bed by saying the next X-Men will be her last with the franchise, or at least she believes it will.
This is hardly a surprising decision. Lawrence is an actress in big damage and is already the face of another framchise in The Hunger Games. There has to be a point where enough is enough, and with her contract up after Apocalypse, now could be the perfect time. But who knows, money talks, so never say never.
Director Bryan Singer has hinted that the story of Magneto (Fassbender) and Lawrence’s Mystique is a big part of the new film’s story, which means there could be some scope for Singer and the writers to maybe begin wrapping up Lawrence's character, she indeed does call it quits.
X-Men: Apocalypse will be directed by Bryan Singer and is scheduled for release on the 19th May 2016.
