J.K. Simmons and Michael Keaton Exit 'Kong: Skull Island'
Oscar winning actor J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) and Oscar nominee, Michael Keaton (Birdman), have both exited Legendary's King Kong prequel, 'Kong: Skull Island.'
The main reason behind both their exits is believed to be "scheduling conflicts." Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein, with production of the movie has been pushed back a few weeks. Thix has likely played a huge reason behind why Simmons and Keaton have been forced to exit the project. That, and the fact this will be a demanding shoot, which likely didn't play well with their future schedules. Tom Hiddleston still remains on board. The movie is scheduled for a March 10, 2017 release.
