Kevin Feige Gives Updates on ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ ‘Black Panther,’ and ‘Captain Marvel’
With the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron fast approaching, this release will signal the close of phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and usher in the start of phase 3, which will begin with the release of Captain America: Civil War in 2016.
Slash Film recently spoke with Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, who gave some details regarding updates on the scheduled movies in phase 3. Below is what Feige disclosed regarding their upcoming slate;
thor: ragnarok
Feige said, “Thor 3 is being scripted right now and I think we get a draft soon. Particularly Chris Hemsworth is hounding me during this junket so I’m going to push the writers Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost to hurry.”
black panther
Feige said, “Black Panther same thing. I have some director meetings set in the next few weeks once Avengers: Age of Ultron gets out the door. And casting is already underway in many ways. Some of which you know about, some of which you don’t.”
inhumans
Feige said, “Inhumans is way down the line.”
captain marvel
Feige said, “Captain Marvel, we’re ready to announce writers hopefully in the next week or two.”
Regarding the other movies in phase 3 (Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange), Feige didn't disclose any new information apart from what we already know.
