Michael Moore Will Open This Years Sheffield Doc/Fest
Oscar-winning activist filmmaker Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11) will open this years Sheffiled Doc/Fest on Friday June 10 at Sheffield's iconic City Hall venue with his new film, Where to Invade Next, followed by an on-stage interview.
His latest documentary confronts the most pressing issues facing the USA today and proposes solutions from the most unlikely places. Ironically, the issues raised in the film are currently being played out in the US Presidential election campaigns, making this movie even more must-see. Entertainment weekly described the film as: "funny, but as serious as a heart-attack." The Opening Night Gala will also launch the UK theatrical release of the film.
Sheffield Doc/Fest will announce the full programme one May 4, 2016.
