Netflix Dates Its First Slate of Feature Film Releases
Netflix has confirmed dates for their first batch of theatrical-quality films. The streaming service’s first film will be 'Beasts of No Nation' released on October 16, 2015 and directed by True Detective‘s Cary Fukunaga and starring Idris Elba. Second up is 'The Ridiculous Six' on December 11, 2015. It's the first of four films Adam Sandler will star in and produce for Netflix. 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend' will be the third movie released globally to Netflix at the start of 2016, then released theatrically in China and in IMAX. The final film on Netflix’s inaugural slate will be the March 2016 release of 'Pee-wee’s Big Holiday' with Paul Reubens reprising his signature man child character.
