Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve Will Write 'Captain Marvel'

No more has been said regarding who will helm the film, but it common knowledge that Marvel are actively seeking a female director for the movie.
Captain Marvel will take the form of Danvers, a skilled test pilot whose DNA is melded with that of Kree warrior Mar-Vell, she gains powers such as flight, enhanced strength, damage resistance and the ability to absorb and re-channel energy.
After its initial unveiling at last years Marvel Event, where Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the slate of movies in Marvel's Cinematic Universe Phase 3, Captain Marvel was given a 6th July 2018 release date. That has since changed, with it now being targeted for a 26th October 2018 release.
