'Ouija 2' Gets a Director and Female Lead
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that 'Oculus' director Mike Flanagan has signed up to helm the upcoming teen horror sequel Ouija 2. It had been previously reported that Flanagan had signed on to co-write the script for the film along with Jeff Howard, but he'll now take the directing reigns.
Along with his appointment, Flanagan will reunite with actress Annalise Basso who will play one of the female leads in the sequel. Basso starred in Oculus as the younger version of Karen Gillan’s character. Ouija 2 is set to land in cinemas on October 21, 2016.
