Out of the ashes
At this years SDCC, we were treated to a plethora of amazing trailers. The one trailer that I didn't expect was that of Justice League. From the disjointed, complex and under utilized use of Lex Luther in Batman V Superman, I held this movie with a grain of salt. The trailer opens with Bruce gathing the team to battle forces of the unknown. The fist 10 seconds of this trailer hooked me. The reason is because he talks about a man that has been helping people in need of food by delivering them fish. The reason why this hooked me, is because in Batman V Superman, not one hero was described as being there for the people. This man didn't use his fists to help others but instead he helps humanity by being humane himself. I don't want to say this looks like a Marvel movie, but it did bring a fun, light hearted tone in how the scenes where filmed and the dialogue. This coming off BVS where the tone was dark and had no humor insight, DC might finaly be on the correct path in their franchise. It is indeed a good time to be alive for a comic book fan.
