Production Delayed?
For months we have been hearing that Ben Affleck, has been publicly negotiating with Warner Bros. over how the treatment for the Batman solo project would be handled. With reports regarding that the Batman script was a nightmare and that production will not begin until Ben feels that the script is worth filming. As of now, it looks like this project has come to a temporary halt. The project has reparably been pushed back a couple of months. Why was this project pushed back you might ask? Well with all the negative response to Batman V Superman, Warner Bros, have been scrambling to correct the tone of Justice League. We got a glimpse at the new tone from the first trailer that was released months ago. The film looks to finally be adding humor to a world that was humorless.
The news is that the Justice League is a mess. Changing direction as quickly as they did during production might have hindered how the script was written. Take this news with a grain of salt, because we all want this movie and DC for that matter to succeed. Like I had mentioned in my previous article about DC, I feel like that the studio is rushing their projects in order to compete with Marvel. I hope DC does find their voice and learn to respect the source matter with a detailed eye. They have done great in capturing some of their characters, now its a matter of finding out what type of films they want to create.
