Synopsis and Full Cast Revealed for 'Captain America: Civil War'
Disney and Marvel have released the first synopsis and full cast list for the third Captain America movie, Civil War.
The official list of returning cast members are obviously Chris Evans as Cpatain America, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man — who we know are both key players in the story. Others include, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as The Vision. Joining them will be Frank Grillo as Crossbones, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Helmut Zero, and Martin Freeman in an unknown role.
Along with those cast members came two surprises. Disney revealed that Ant-Man star Paul Rudd will join the rest of the superheroes with some sort of role in Civil War. This will be the first time we see Rudd/Ant-Man interact with the other members of the cinematic universe. The other surprising cast member is William Hurt. Hurt was in the 'The Incredible Hulk' which is easily the most forgettable Marvel movie in the cinematic universe. Hurt played General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the film, and was a force to be reckoned with for Bruce Banner/Hulk, attempting to bring him down. So, it's an intriguing piece of casting.
