Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sequel Will Begin Filming Next Month
It has been revealed that work on the sequel to last years Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot will begin shooting next month in New York City and Buffalo.
Council Member Dan Garodnick told the New York Daily News, “There is no better way to project the character of this city than through television and film." Along with this news of filming, Michael Bay will return to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, with cast members Megan Fox as April O’Neil, William Fichtner, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Johnny Knoxville, Jeremy Howard, and Tony Shalhoub all expected to reprise their roles from the first movie.
Whether or not you enjoyed the rebooted version of the highly popular franchise, this sequel was always on the cards, even more so, after it made a successful outing at the box office grossing over $485 million worldwide.
Shortly after the first was released, Paramount Pictures pencilled in a 3rd June 2016 release for this sequel with the studio clearly seeing this as a major new franchise for them.
Update #1 - Sequel will feature nba stars
A reporter from ESPN has broke news that a handful of NBA stars will have cameos in the sequel. The players will be from the Los Angeles Clippers and will be on-set as filming begins next month. The players are; DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, J.J. Reddick, Spencer Hawes and Austin Rivers.
