Top Five Films for Commuters

StinaManley StinaManley Hey Everyone! Let's discuss The Top Five Films that the daily commuter can relate to...

Unless you have the privilege to be a full time Telecommuter, everyone has some form of a commute to work.. Some are shorter than others, and some feel like personal hell.

For me, my average commuting time is around two hours a day… Which technically is not as bad as some people who are commuting two hours one way.

Let’s GO!

Top Five Films for the Daily Commuter!

5.) Speed (1994)

Ah, who would strap a bomb to a City bus! Which forced Sandra Bullock to keep the bus over 55 MPH or else it would explode.

Talk about that being a stressful day of commuting to work.. SHESH!

4.) Source Code (2012)

This movie also had a craptastic commute! Riding a train with Jake Gyllenhaal while he figures out why/who placed a bomb (again) on a Metro Train in Chicago.

This movie is pretty much Speed (but with a train) mixed with Groundhogs Day.

3.) Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

They are technically not commuting to an office, but I like to think the hoards of traffic and chaotic drivers to be similar to what I witness daily while commuting in Dallas.

2.) The Fast and The Furious (2001)

The semi chase scene was technically a commuting scene, because stealing all those Panasonic DVD Players and Tube TV’s (LOL) was part of their job, right?!

Am I not the only one who has fantasies about doing the “Under the semi” lane switch when stuck in traffic, or when someone is blocking the left lane and I can’t pass?

C'mon now.. Raise your hand!

1.) Office Space (1999)

This seriously sums up my daily commute. Sitting in traffic to merge quickly into the sorta moving lane, only to abruptly stop to witness that the lane you were just in is now flowing steady…

Here are some helpful tips for a nicer commute, and to build a bond with your fellow commuters.

- Remember to use your blinker when needing to get into another lane. (If you don’t know where its located, its the stick thing on the left side of the steering wheel). You’re Welcome! :)

- Try and leave a little bit earlier (10-15 minutes). There will be less commuters on the road and more space to almost drive the speed limit and you may even get that in front parking spot! (SCORE!)

- Take up a new route, who knows.. maybe you'll find a relaxing, scenic, quicker way home.
