Ben Affleck's 'Batman' Script Rumoured to be Fraught with Issues
Concerning reports according to American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, word through the grapevine is that the untitled Batman solo movie is in serious trouble.
It seems as though the script is complete but has at least 30 main issues that need to be addressed. When these issues were brought up at an executive dinner, the men in suits stated that it doesn't matter. They were quoted as saying ''Look, here are 30 things wrong with it that we can fix, but we don't care. the amount of money that we are going to make globally, I mean 70% of our audience is not going to be seeing this in English.''
Things are a mess indeed. But Ben has said on more than one occasion that production wont begin until the script is perfect. With batman himself directing this solo movie, it does give us hope that the only person who is deeply trying to produce a solid movie is the Bat himself. Given how Batman V Superman was perceived we can't blame Ben for taking time writing the script.
If the reports are accurate, there could very well be some bitterness among DC comics fans. There's greed at play here, and these are the kinds of quotes that can lead to many "boycotting" something that clearly has less than altruistic interest in artistic integrity.
