Writers of the Planet of the Apes franchise talk sequels
With Dawn of the Planet of the Apes dominating the global box office, the question on everyone's lips is; Will there be more?
The answer to that question is an emphatic yes. It's almost a guarantee that we will see another Apes movies, but the real question is; How many more movies can this franchise sustain?
Co-writer Rick Jaffa recently said; “We feel like it can be more than just another movie, but if that’s the way, we’re really happy with it.”
Jaffa went on to add that they have already started work on the third movie; “There have been strategic, meaning business, discussions, but I don’t think there’ve been any creative discussions whatsoever,” he explained. He sounds entirely optimistic about it: “I have no doubt that what we set in motion is going to pay off.”
