X-Men: Days of Future Past on track to bring in $125million in it's opening weekend
X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently tracking for a $125 million opening weekend, which would give it the biggest debut for a film in the franchise.
The highest grossing entry in the series, 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, also opened on Memorial Day weekend to the tune of $122.8 million and in fact held the Memorial Day record before the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull were released.
X-Men: Days of Future Past could make as much as $250 million domestically, and given that every X-Men film has seen the percentage of its foreign grosses increase, it's entirely possible that this will be the highest-grossing X-Men film of all time by the end of its theatrical run.
